The My Safe Florida Home program is a highly popular grant system for homeowners in Tampa. Through this program, you can get a free home inspection to identify improvements for hurricane season. Qualified homeowners can apply for a grant of up to $10,000 to upgrade windows, doors, siding, roofs, garage doors, and other exterior systems.

My Safe Florida Home
Grant Program
Receive up to $10,000 on new Windows and Doors for your home through the My Safe Florida Home program. It's a fairly simple process that is managed by the State of Florida. Homeowners will be required to conduct a FREE one-time Home Hurricane Inspection, this will result in a detailed report outlining recommended ways to improve the security of your home against major storms like hurricanes. You then work with the Department of Financial Service to receive an approved matching grant of $10,000 to be used on qualifying hurricane safety projects. You will received $2 for every $1 you spend on your home's authorized wind mitigation upgrades, such as residential impact window replacements or hurricane rated door replacements. The installation of new impact rated windows and doors for your home could potentially lower your insurance premiums by up to 50%.
Free Hurricane Inspection
In order to apply for your My Safe Florida Home program grant – you will need to schedule a FREE Home Hurricane inspection. This inspection will detail wind mitigation improvements.
Receive Your $10,000 MSFH Grant
When you receive your approved grant status, you can then hire Nova as the approved replacement contractor for your impact window and door project. Your grant will cover $10,000 of the cost.
